I had this Horizon EX57 for two days and I am very impressed. Here is
breakdown:
Assembly Horizon EX-57- it took me about an hour to put this together myself. The
the directions were clear and simple. There was enormous amounts of physical strength
required to put together, except for getting the car into position (but
wheels on the front, so it was not too bad). But be careful, because some of
the pieces are pre-greased so you will want to have a rag or paper towels at hand.
Professionals to design and use - than the last car I had, the 2 in 1 Elliptical
Cross Trainer & Exercise Bike, this thing is barely audible. Can I watch TV
normal volume, hold a conversation and not disturb my roommate. He does it beep every
so often, but otherwise is extremely quiet. The 18 "stride length is ideal for
me and my arms are at a comfortable distance (I'm 5'4 "). The ecological footprint is very
small and fits into a normal sized living room with the minimum necessary to rearrange
(see photo above apply). Overall, the feeling of training is very smooth and I
feeling very stable even at high intensity.
Cons Horizon Ex-57 of design and use - The biggest problem is that, as others have described,
hand-grip heart rate monitor does not really work. It seems that the slower you are
in progress, the more accurate it gets. For example, at normal speed (4 or 5 km / h), we
I think my heart beats 90 times per minute, when truly significant
top. When I slow down to less than 2 miles an hour, it recognizes my heart rate
right neighborhood. Even so, I bought this for that particular thing and I
truly missed, but be aware that it is not very effective. Besides this, there
very few problems. The holder of a bottle of water is a bit 'too low for me to access
without stopping, and the step length may be too short for people with a lot
legs than me. But these are nitpicks, and overall I'm extremely
impressed and happy with this elliptical.
A note on delivery of Horizon EX-57 - If you buy this through Amazon, which will be shipped with a
company called CEVA, which is not quite the same as a UPS or FedEx
company. CEVA will call or e-mail when your item ships and schedule a delivery
appointment, depending on availability and they could be well before
or after the window of delivery provided by Amazon. You must be present to receive the
delivery. CEVA boys were extremely professional and has brought this thing up heavy
the stairs without me having to say anything. People here seem to the forum
have had very mixed experiences with CEVA, so just be aware that this delivery
differ significantly from a standard delivery of small size.
Verdict - a little less quality gym for Horizon EX 57 and a couple of flaws (especially the heart
rate monitor), but relatively easy to put together and very comfortable to use. I
I am extremely pleased with this document and feel very safe with a year
parts and labor warranty, which is included. I highly recommend this elliptical
anyone trying to go for the reliable and substantial "home gym" feeling or simply
a piece of solid material that will not break your budget.
